Light Box

I found a cool pin on Pintrest that taught me how to make a cheap easy light box to produce perfectly lit photographs.  I used wax paper instead of the shower curtain because it's all I had, but I think I'll spring for the shower curtain next time.  The wax paper seemed to let too much light through in a constant stream.  Also, I need some brighter more direct lights, I tried using lamps so the light isn't as bright as I'd hoped for.  Anyway, on my first go, check out a few of the pictures that came of it.

Waiting for me to stop looking so he can jump into the light box and make everything fall over...

Some of you may know about my adorable cat Santa.  His full name is obviously Santa Claws, but if you want you can call him St. Nick, Nicky, Santy-claws, Chris (short for Chris Cringle) or just keep it simple with Santa.  I haven't been updating this blog too much lately due to [insert excuse here]... BUT I have lots to share so stay tuned!

For now, meet Santa!

No Pictures

SO the big day is coming up.  I have been absent for quite some time, I apologize for that.  I am planning on heading out on Friday with Nate.  It's a long drive to colorado from here...(about 20 hours) and even longer through Nebraska...

BUT I'm so excited to start my life in CO and make my own living!

I will return soon with LOTS of pictures!

NEWS!

SO... After lots and lots (and lots and lots and lots and lots) of thinking.  I am moving to Denver Colorado!

I first got wind of an opportunity to visit Denver for 2 weeks to help open the new office for the company I work for.  I thought, "heck yeah, what a great experience I friggen love Colorado and that is great to add to my resume!"  Then some bad news hit that made it so I wasn't able to go to Colorado for 2 weeks like I was planning.  After thinking of the idea to run my own office, uproot my life and move it to Denver, and quit school* as unreachable, and rather ridiculous, I thought harder.  Why shouldn't I take an opportunity to run my own company branch in possibly one of my favorite places in the U.S. (don't worry Michigan, you'll always have my heart)?  So it's official, you are looking at the new Office Director.  I will be heading out sometime around the 28th of this month.  (yes, THIS month. as in /about/ 2 weeks.)

*by 'quit school' I actually mean put it on hold until further notice.  Quitting is such a harsh word--I still have lots to learn!  I plan on starting a few classes here and there once I get settled in CO.
